The world’s first international car model pageant – the Asia’s Hottest Car Model Competition was launched today and will take place in various parts of Malaysia from October 7-16.
The event is scheduled to take place in major cities like Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Johor Baharu and Penang will run from October 7-16 and will involved award winning hottest car models from 18 nations. Currently countries who are confirmed to participate includes Bhutan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Russia, Thailand, Singapore and Uzbekistan. 8 other nations – Cambodia, China, Japan, Korea, Macau, Philippines Taiwan and Vietnam are finalizing their representatives.
“The objective of this international-level competition is to bring up the profile of car-modeling and models; to foster cross-border friendship and learning between models; and also to foster international collaboration between car show organizers from across the region. Although it is known that most countries have their own competition for car models, there is none on an international level, so it is our aim that we build this platform to globally enhance this modelling field and also the car models we have in this region,” says Andrew Chan who is the founder of this pageant.
The contestants from the 18 nations will arrive in Kuala Lumpur on October 7 and will be actively involved with charity programs, shoots, meet and greet the fans, sponsor visits and training. They will then proceed down to historical Melaka where they will conduct some shoots with classic and vintage cars and then will travel further south to Johor Baharu for events and activities before finally going all the up to Penang on October 13 to get ready for the grand finals where it will take place at the Mean Machines – the largest international after-market automotive and motorsport event in Malaysia.
Those who are keen to compete must be aged between 18-27, not married and have experience or won some car model competition in their respective country. They must carry passport of the nation they wish to represent.
Corporate sponsorship packages starting from as low as RM 10,000 are available for companies and brands who are keen to be associated with this international competition.
