Many these days would go all the way out for a killer selfie, and some actually died doing it. Last Saturday, a motorcyclist stood on the guardrail on the Penang Bridge to take a wefie with his friends and drew flak from the public.
Tow truck service runner, Tan Chin Leong told The Star Online that “One of them stood on the guardrail with a selfie stick, while the rest were standing on the emergency lane posing for picture” and “there were about eight or nine of them.”
When the photo was posted on Facebook, many netizens took it to criticize them.
“He could have drowned,” said a Facebook user known as Shah Gsr, adding that the man could have fallen off the bridge if there was strong wind. while another, Lan Appollo, said “this is what you would call a crazy type of selfie.”
While Georgetown OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash said that the incident was not a criminal act, it was a dangerous stunt.
