In conjunction with Tan Chong Group’s 60th anniversary, new Nissan and Infiniti owners now will get a seven years, unlimited mileage warranty for new cars purchased, an upgrade from the previous three-years, 100,000km warranty previously.
These two brands will now offer the longest warranty period for any cars in Malaysia, leap-frogging Toyota, Honda, Lexus and BMW’s five years, unlimited mileage warranty.
The first three years of the warranty is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty while the balance four years will be undertaken by the Tan Chong Group and is transferable to subsequent owners within the coverage period.
The first five years coverage of the warranty is identical to the standard manufacturer’s three-year warranty while the 6th and 7th year covers the engine, transmission and only selected major technical parts.
This warranty package covers all of Nissan and Infiniti 2017 models with exception of the Nissan Navara and the NV350 Urvan which is capped at five years of 150,000 km or three years, 100,000km for commercial registration. Other models registered for use as public transport, taxi, rental cars and good carriers also have their warranty capped at three-years, 100,000 km.
Existing owners with in-warranty vehicles will also be offered an extended warranty program and it will be announced soon by Tan Chong Group.
