According to infonegara , 4 member of parliament from Azmin Ali camp is now pledging their support towards Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim to be the Prime Minister and form the next government.
They have already a few secret meeting with Anwar to work out a deal for their switching alliances and to crossover. With Azmin Ali camp and MPs switching their support then the probability for Anwar to achieved 120-130 MPs is very high.
Currently there are allegations that 4 MPs from Azmin Ali which include Saifuddin Abdullah , Zuraida Kamaruddin and Baru Bian. If this development is true then more of other MPs under Azmin Ali also may cross over together with him.
Anwar Ibrahim do have a track record of forgiving Mahathir and Najib. So it is not a surprise to see him forgiving Azmin Ali and the rest of PKR traitors that once go against him.
On the other hand , this might rescue Azmin Ali political career that is currently being very unpopular among UMNO and PAS grassroots under Perikatan Nasional and Muafakat Nasional alliances.
Anwar to meet Agong next Tuesday
Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has been granted an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong next Tuesday, Oct 13.
“At the meeting, I will present documentation of the strong and convincing majority of MPs as I mentioned earlier,” he said in a statement today.
“I would like to express my gratitude to his majesty for granting me an audience to meet on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, God willing.”
Anwar also urged Malaysians to remain calm, take care of their health and comply with the ongoing recovery movement control order.
UMNO Leaders Reject Azmin Ali
Umno Supreme Council member Ahmad Shabery Cheek says PPBM’s push for more non-Bumiputera members into the party could be due to former PKR leaders joining the party.
In a dig at former PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and “his friends from PKR”, Shabery said this group may want PPBM to be like PKR.
PPBM opening its membership to people of all races would make it difficult for any unification with Umno to come about, he said.
“It would be easier for PPBM to team up with PKR as both parties have the same membership model. Maybe this was the reason why Azmin and his friends joined PPBM. They missed PKR,” he said in a statement today.
Johor Umno Leaders Attack Azmin Ali
Umno leaders from Johor have reminded their Perikatan Nasional (PN) allies that electoral seat allocations between them will involve talks at the party level and not with any individuals, Utusan Malaysia reports.
Vice president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin told the Malay daily that election strategies often involve bilateral negotiations between various party leaders.
Khaled was responding to speculation that Datuk Seri Azmin Ali could lead his party’s push for 50 parliamentary seats in the upcoming general election, rumoured to be planned for early next year.
“When it comes to talks about electoral seat allocation, it is done at the party level, and that is between Umno and Bersatu. The question of negotiations with certain individuals does not arise,” the Johor Umno leader was quoted as saying.
Many Umno leaders were reportedly unnerved by their party’s decision to cooperate with Bersatu and join PN, and much of this reservation was centred on Azmin.
Its Johor deputy liaison chief Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, in a sharp rebuke of Bersatu, called its PN ally feeble, saying it lacked integrity for accepting a defector like Azmin.
Azmin in big trouble, says BN leader
A Selangor Barisan Nasional (BN) leader has warned Senior Minister (Economy) Mohamed Azmin Ali that his political future is in danger unless he works to improve his ties with Umno and PAS.
“He seems to have a problem with everyone,” Selangor BN information chief Isham Jalil told FMT.
Commenting on a criticism Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar made early this month over a meeting Azmin held that did not include Perikatan Nasional representatives, Isham said there was a trust deficit between him and the Umno and PAS leaderships of Selangor.
