The best part was when Bung Moktar, infamous for calling the ethnic Chinese to “balik tongsan” (go back to China), had to travel to China for his kidney transplant. Many Malaysians have taken to social media, happily mocking the racist and arrogant MP for having to seek treatment and medical help from China after looking down on the ethnic Chinese

Bung Moktar recovering after surgery
Datuk Bung Moktar is a politician infamous for his many controversially racist statements- notably his ‘Cina balik Cina’ quote, which sparked great controversy and rage among Malaysians, is now recuperating after a kidney transplant in China, his relatives said.
His mother-in-law Fauziah Khatijah Musah said the Kinabatangan MP was making a speedy recovery in the company of family and friends.
“He is cheerful and active. He has been ill for several months and is looking forward to making a full recovery.
“We are glad that his friends have come to visit in a show of support,” she said, adding that Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi, and International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Ahmad Maslan had visited him since he returned from China on February 7.
Bung Moktar is currently warded at the Prince Court Medical Centre here in Kuala Lumpur for observation.
It was reported in January that he was critically ill. He had, however, denied the rumours but confirmed that he was being treated for a “health condition’’.
He was reported to have been making frequent trips to China for medical treatment and was finally able to have the transplant done.
Many Malaysians have taken online to mock the irony of the MP having to seek treatment and medical help from China after looking down on the Chinese and asked Malaysian Chinese netizens to ‘balik Cina’.
Some have also taken to Facebook to have a jab at the MP’s ironic predicament.
