Looks like someone got nothing to do at home and decided to drop some rock from a flyover down to the highway with cars speeding by every second.
The incident happened on December 23 when the victims, Low and May, were passing by Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang to meet their friends at 10.25pm.
As they were driving through the highway, a giant rock fell onto their windscreen from a flyover. According to Sin Chew, the incident location was near to a Mercedes Benz showroom.
The rock smashed through the windscreen and ricocheted from the centre console to the backseat, passing through the gap of both front seats providentially.
“If the rock had fallen slightly towards the left or right side of the windscreen, one of us would’ve been severely wounded,” said May on a Facebook post.
Fortunately, the driver remained calm at impact. He slowed the car down to the roadside and tried to look for the culprit over the flyover. They didn’t see anyone there.
“We’re fine (from the incident), only our arms were scratched by shattered glass of the windscreen,” added May.
The couple had lodged a police report after the incident. May took on Facebook to share her experience and warn netizens the recurring atrocity. The post with photos had since gone viral with over 3,000 shares.
“A long time ago, I heard about this story where a rock was fallen from this flyover with an intention to injure motorists. Who would have thought it would happen to me,” she wrote.

Balakong assemblyman Ng Tien Chee saw the viral post on Facebook and contacted the couple. Together, they went back to the scene to try to understand how it happened.
Ng pointed out that the police are taking the case lightly as if it’s just another regular complaint. A deadly mishap could be underway if the rock had landed on a motorist’s head, he stressed.
The assemblyman said it wasn’t the first time this had happened as he had received a report of the same case a few months ago. He said the driver reportedly saw an object flying passed his car. Though there was no injury, it still poses a threat to the safety of the drivers.
He demanded the police to step up their effort in finding the culprit.
In response, police had deployed more frequent patrol and they suspect the culprit may come from a resident near the scene.
We are glad that the couple could walk out of the incident without any major injury. Be sure to stay extra vigilant when driving through Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang or any flyover. Hope that the police could quickly arrest the culprit. Ugh!
