We understand that when an argument spark between couples it is best to solve it then and there before it gets any worse. However, that doesn’t mean we have the rights to humiliate our partners in the public.
A Singaporean man was spotted kneeling in front of his girlfriend at Orchard Road at around 10 pm on December 3.
By the looks of things, the man doesn’t look like he was proposing to his girlfriend but instead he was on his knees to apologize. Pedestrians can’t take their eyes off the couple as they walk past the two of them.
A fellow Singaporean, Chris, who posted the photos and video of the incident on STOMP said the couple was talking to each other but he couldn’t make out what was being said.
“(Wonder) what he did wrong to warrant such punishment.”
We wonder too, but we’re glad that there was no screaming and hitting involved if not, it would’ve caused a bigger scene. Truth be told, couple feuds should be handled privately and should not involve the public, as a relationship takes two to grow.
Both parties need to have mutual respect for each other and do not break the trust between the two of you.
