I’m sure almost all of you are familiar with the Indonesian couple who threatened to kill themselves if both families refused to give their blessings for their union, Selamat and Rohaya.

Not long after the couple tied their knot, news of the 16-year-old husband locking his 71-year-old wife in the house whenever he goes out began to surface. According to Lobak Merah, the couple has yet again made the headlines after Selamat admitted to skipping out on his prayers because he would miss his wife too much.

Rohaya constantly reminded her husband to remember his prayers but he is reluctant to take the step and instead, invited his wife to follow him to the mosque.

“I have reminded him to diligently pray.

“I told him to remember the village leader’s words. If it is Friday, then he must go to the mosque to fulfill his Friday prayers. He even invited me to go with him.”

For Muslims, Muslim men are required to go to the mosque on Fridays in order to carry out their prayers which usually last no longer than 2 hours. But the young husband refuses to leave the house for prayers as he is afraid he would miss his wife if he was away for too long.

It got to the point where Rohaya has to sit her husband down and explain to him that women do not go to the mosque for Friday prayers like men do.

They even expressed their desire to have children together as they have been working hard to get kids of their own after their honeymoon in Jakarta.

The teen has already picked out names for their children! Rohaya told,

“He wants to name our daughter Putri Permata Sari and our son Andre Maulana.”

Rohaya was reportedly rushed to the clinic several times before due to exhaustion.

Well, love is blind and age is just a number, so long as they’re happy, right? Let’s pray for a miracle for the couple to be able to conceive their first miracle child.
