A Philippine elderly woman was seen carrying her daughter in a bank and the mere sight of the two left many hearts touched and(or) broken.
On Saturday, March 11, Gilbert Cargason shared this heartwarming encounter that showed that there were no limits to a mother’s love. In his post, he highlighted that mothers would go far and beyond for their children.
Apparently, the elderly mother who could easily pass off as a grandmother was giving a piggy back to her full grown up daughter who was paralysed since she was 3 years old. According to Gilbert, the two have been living together on their own without any support from others.
Not sure if it is her real name or not, but Gilbert called the lady Nanay Juliet, in his post. He also explained that Nanay Juliet would carry her daughter everytime she has to go out of the house. Now, you might wonder why doesn’t she just leave her daughter at home, since it’s a short period of time or maybe why don’t they own a wheelchair?
From the looks of things, the two are surviving on very little cash in their pockets. And Nanay Juliet seems to fear the possibility of her daughter getting raped if she was left alone at home. The current society has clearly shaken up this old lady to think of the worst case. 🙁
Gilbert’s intention of posting up their story is to gain help from the public to contribute in whatever manner possible. It seems that a friend of his has already bought a wheelchair via the City Health Office of Roxas City, Phillippine for the woman.
Dear Phillippine readers of ours, if you feel like lending a helping hand then please do contact Gilbert.
Hope Nanay Juliet and her daughter will have a better life soon! Stay strong!
