The climactic balcony sex between a former British soldier and Thai prostitute ended in a flop, both sexually and physically, where the hooker fell 5-storey down from a hotel and died in Pattaya, Thailand.
The incident happened in Cosy Beach View condominium at noon, January 6. British ex-Royal Logistics Corps soldier Reece Vella, 25, engaged local prostitute Wannipa “Joy” Janhuathon, 26, for sex at a fee of 1,500 baht (approx. RM186).
The two headed back to the hotel and had extravagant sex on the balcony.
“I was sitting in front of the entrance gate. I heard the sound of a crash. I walked to check and saw a shadow on the ground which turned out to be the body of a woman without clothes,” said the hotel security guard Kriengsak Khamchachai, Pattaya One reports.
“She was lying down and there was blood around her face. She was unconscious but still alive.”
Janhuathon sustained severe head injuries and multiple fractures after falling naked from the balcony. She was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away on the journey.
At the scene, the authorities found a pack of Kamagra oral jelly, a kind of sex drug containing a similar ingredient found in Viagra, next to the lifeless body on the ground.
Narong Chantra, deputy head of investigations at Pattaya Police, described the incident as such:
“An arrest warrant was issued after evidence was presented to the court. The police case is that on the day of the incident Mr. Vella visited the bar and paid to take Miss Wannipa away,
“Miss Wannipa and Mr Vella were having very strange, extravagant sex on the balcony until she fell down below and died,
“Mr. Vella was in shock and knowing that he had overstayed his visa ran away and kept her mobile phone in his bag and left the room.”
Vella was arrested the next day at a bar on suspicion of “negligence causing others to die”, The Mirror reports. Currently, he is in police custody and could face up to 10 years of imprisonment if convicted.
According to the same report, Vella came to Thailand in search of a “new life” as he reportedly suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
His visa was overdue for 59 days on the day of arrest. It was also reported that Vella didn’t have a clean criminal record.
In 2012, he was jailed almost five years after being convicted of raping a teenage girl. He punched the victim’s face and hit her with a bin lid. He was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life.
He also was wanted by the U.K. police for possessing and selling Class A drugs. There is an outstanding breach warrant against him as Worcester crown court last year didn’t complete the trial.
Vella’s brother Andrayoss said he escaped the country to Thailand after “getting into trouble” here, adding that he is not a “bad character” but only made “some mistakes”.
“He did have a problem with drugs, and served a stint in prison. But he had turned his life around,” said the brother.
“It was a horrible shock when we were told he had been arrested. It was an accident. We know it was. People said he ran away after the crime but we don’t know anything about that,
“We feel really sorry for the girl and her family. It was an accident, we know it was. It’s awful,” adding that his family is also suffering as they might lose Vella if convicted.
Yikes. We sure hope he is convicted and jailed for 10 years.
