Motherlove is tough but some are plain barbaric. We all have heard one or two stories about overprotective mothers, but this one takes it to the next level.
The incident happened in Tongshan County, Hubei, China on December 8, when a mother took her 4-year-old son to the hospital for an injection.
According to South China Morning Post, a nurse surnamed Zhu, 38, was assigned to perform the injection. Zhu requested the 4-year-old to stop moving so that she could administer the injection safely but after a second into it, the boy started to scream in pain.
The mother was not pleased. She lashed out furiously at Zhu by pulling the six weeks pregnant nurse’s hair, pushing her and kicked Zhu in the stomach.
In the video surfaced online, we saw other nurses tried to pull the enraged mother away from Zhu. When the commotion was over, Zhu was seen slumping on the floor, holding her stomach and crying.
Zhu was bleeding when she was sent to the obstetrics and gynecology department. She was diagnosed with threatened abortion.
The husband of the ferocious mother, Xu Lianglu, was fired after the incident even though he was not involved in the scene. Xu was the head of the country’s City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau. The county government announced in a statement on Sunday without elaborating the issue.
Ironic, isn’t it? While husband was working to protect the city, wife was rampaging over a small matter happened in the hospital.
The mother wasn’t named in the report but netizens had later identified her and she is now the subject of a police investigation, South China Morning Post reports.
We wish the nurse Zhu a speedy recovery and wish the baby in her stomach is safe! What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments below.
