Body Positive: Health Blogger Reveals The Reality Behind Fitness Instagram Pictures

When you browse through fitness gurus Instagram account and you see pictures of their flat tummy, round booty, and toned body, don’t you get jealous and always wonder, ‘when will I ever get that body?’

While these models are taking over Instagram, a health blogger is trying to show the world that you shouldn’t believe everything you see online. Well, that should be applied to everything, but sometimes, people tend to forget.

20-year-old body-positive Finnish blogger, Sara Puhto, shares side-by-side images revealing how much an angle or sucking your tummy in could change in a picture.

According to Bored Panda, you can see a striking difference on every single one of her Instagram posts, making it hard to believe they’re the same girl at the same time.

“Nobody’s booty looks round and peachy from all angles.”

Sara wants the world to know that beauty starts with self-love and those ‘perfectly fit’ pics online are not what our definition of ‘beauty’ should be.

“Nobody has abs or a flat tummy 24/7 when they sit down.”

“The other day I saw an Instagram post by a celebrity who had clearly photoshopped their body to make it look more curvy.”

“The beauty industry strives off our insecurities, and only shows so few body types, please don’t let this make you hate yourself.”

“Clothing size have the ability to make us feel bad about ourselves when we’ve gone up a size and feel good when we’ve gone down a size.”

“But I’ve realized that it actually doesn’t matter at all.”

“Just because someone wears a smaller size than you doesn’t make them a better person or a more beautiful person.”

“Clothing size doesn’t define you.”

“You are beautiful no matter what size you wear!”

“Being you and having confidence is what makes you beautiful.”

“Not what some beauty magazine portrays as beautiful.”

Let’s all spread body positivity, eat healthy to live healthily, you don’t have to be a certain weight or look a certain shape to be defined ‘healthy’. Love your body and be kind to it, don’t torture your body with loads of unhealthy food.
