With our busy lifestyle, cooking at home is not really ideal for many of us. Eating out seems to always be the easier way out for many people, however, it can really take a toll on both our wallet and our health in the long run.
We can all agree that food prepared by vendors isn’t necessarily the healthiest, some people may turn a blind eye to their health, maybe after this you would think twice the next time you plan to buy food outside.

Working as a clerk, her job requires her to sit in for multiple hours a day, and with her unhealthy lifestyle, she had put on a lot of weight within one year.
Xiao Ling’s sedentary lifestyle has been going on for a while and just last week, she suffered a severe stomach ache after having her lunch. She allegedly began to feel nauseated and started vomiting, however, she took the matter lightly and thought all she needed was a good rest.
To her dismay, her stomachache got worse despite resting at home for two days, that was when she decided to visit a local hospital. There, the doctor discovered that something was wrong with her pancreas. He suspected of her having acute pancreatitis, and she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at another hospital.
Over at the other hospital, the doctor first drew a small amount of blood for testing purpose but was shocked to find a layer of fat floating on top of the blood sample.
It has come to no surprise that Xiao Ling’s blood pressure was also alarmingly high at that moment.
According to sources, a gastroenterologist suspected she had high blood lipids which may have contributed to her acute pancreatitis. She was in dire need of a blood plasma transfusion before her condition worsened.

A 2,000ml of blood plasma was prepared after the hospital contacted the blood bank and a transfusion was carried out using a machine where her blood was filtered before getting mixed with the fresh bag of blood plasma.

The doctor said,
“Her blood plasma color is similar to the color of solid lard. Normal blood plasma should be translucent and pale yellow.”
He added that transfusing 2,000ml of blood plasma is equivalent to replacing half of her body’s blood!
Fortunately, Xiao Ling could breathe much better moments after the first transfusion. Soon after that, her blood test report was out and it was shocking as well.
The level of triglycerides in her blood was so high that it was 18 times higher than the normal reading. It is learned that the doctor performed another plasma transfusion on her within 24 hours.
She was then moved out of the ICU a few days later after her condition was more stable.
According to Xiao Ling, her favorite dishes include steamed fish, hot and spicy soup, fried chicken bento and pig’s internal organs, and she rarely eats vegetables and fruits.
Doctors urged the public to lead a healthy lifestyle as oily diet, excessive food and alcohol consumption could lead to pancreatitis. Sadly, more and more youngsters in their 20s are getting diagnosed with this condition.
Guys, it is very important to have a balanced diet. As much as we try to avoid talking about healthy eating because we love to shove our mouths with our favorite unhealthy food it is also important to think about our body’s health in the long run!
A healthy diet does not mean you have to cut out every fried or oily food you love, it’s about practicing moderation. Reduce the amount of oily food you eat little by little every day and replace them with fresh produce like fruits or vegetables (salad). If you don’t like the taste of vegetables then try making a smoothie!
