You’d thought companies would learn from example or mistakes, but sadly this is one of the companies that are still ignorant.
Last week, a netizen and her boyfriend took the StarMart Express bus from Singapore to Melaka and they were met with an unpleasant experience during the trip.
According to WOB, during the bus ride on September 28, their bus had bedbugs all over the seats which caused the girl and her boyfriend to suffer irritated and bumpy skin. The bites were seriously bad!
In the 2016 case, 26 passengers suffered bedbug bites during their journey from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore. Just months later, another case of bedbugs was reported on a bus under the same company, which was traveling from KL to Johor Bahru.
The girl was quoted by WOB as saying,
“This is complete negligence to passenger’s basic needs. Just saying that no one contacted them despite all the allegations is ridiculous. As a company, they should reach out to affected passengers to fix the issue, like we filled up so many forms for what? I just want to make sure that they understand this isn’t an acceptable way of running a business.”
