The government (Barisan Nasional) will lose a large majority of their young supporters and votes for the upcoming election should they fail to resolve or rectify the issue regarding “Vape”.
That was the warning by President of Malaysia’s Small Businesses committee (IKHLAS), Ridzuan Abdullah following the recent confiscation and seizure of Vape related products recently.
According to him, the Prime Minister himself, Datuk Seri Najib Razak himself must step in to intervene in this issue should he wish to maintain his party’s image and repute among the million or so youngsters.
He continues by pleading to the government to leave the youngsters be, and continue conducting their small but humble Vape businesses. They are trying to earn a living and get through hard times but the government strikes them down all out of the blue, and without reason or rhyme, and even a proper announcement.
“Should this remain unresolved, the government will definitely lose a million votes at the very least” said Ridzuan.
He also demands the resignation of the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr. S. Subramaniam should the issue not be resolved orderly.
The government has decided to conduct raids and seizures of Vape products without any solid reasoning that Vaping is dangerous to youngsters. Youngsters have invested hundreds and thousands of dollars to start their Vaping business, only to have them seized from them in the blink of an eye.
Ridzuan, along with three other NGOs have made reports against the Ministry of Health regarding the issue of the seizure of Vape related products.
