Malaysia MCO 2.0 : Dining In At Restaurants Now Allowed & Limited To 2 People Per Table

Dine-ins are now allowed in restaurants but strict standard operating procedures must be followed, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Senior Minister (Security) said the National Security Council (NSC) special meeting had agreed to allow dine-in customers but limited to two people per table with physical distancing of at least 1m.

“Restaurant owners must also ensure sufficient workers to monitor the entry of customers and registration of personal details via MySejahtera or manually.

“There must not be overcrowding in the restaurant and physical distancing must be maintained at all times,” he told a press conference on Tuesday (Feb 9).

Prior to this, some restaurant owners had limited the entry of customers and even set a specific duration for each customer, he added.

“For more details, check the NSC website,” he said.
