The manager of Celia Zhang is preventing the Taiwanese actress from accessing her Facebook page for fear comments there may “unsettle” her, reported Taiwanese news portal Apple Daily.
The portal also reported that Zhang claimed to have taken a taxi home after having drinks with Mohd Nazifuddin at a bar in the hotel where he was staying and did not spend the night with him.
She did not deny that they held hands but said that it was just for a minute.
Zhang also strongly denied any there were any romantic notions when she and Mohd Nazifuddin kissed, saying it was “just a way of saying goodbye”.
The portal further said that acting was a side job for Zhang, who prefers to dabble in investments.
She has business interests in nail salons and pet hotels, with a monthly income of over TWD100,000 (RM13,270).
It also said that Mohd Nazifuddin was introduced to Zhang through a mutual Singaporean friend.
According to her friend, as quoted by Apple Daily, Mohd Nazifuddin started wooing her a year ago, although she was already in a relationship.
It was only when Zhang broke up with her boyfriend that Mohd Nazifuddin began pursuing her in earnest.
However, the status of their relationship is unknown and it cannot be confirmed if they are officially a couple.
A check on Zhang’s Facebook page showed that her last post was made on Saturday (June 30).
After news of Zhang and Nazifuddin being spotted together broke on Friday, many comments have been left on her Facebook page, with some criticising the actress for going out with the son of man facing corruption charges, with others speaking in her defence.
When Zhang was asked about the duo’s Thursday meeting caught on video, Apple Daily reported that the actress replied via her spokesman that: “He is just a good friend that I have known for many years and who came to Taiwan to visit, I acted as his guide and accompanied him.”
When asked about their sighting at the Grand Hyatt hotel, the actress reportedly clarified that they only had more drinks there.
“We only drank at the Grand Hyatt’s bar, his mood was not good because his family member was ill, after that he went up to rest and I then left,” she was quoted as saying.
The actress indicated that they did not discuss the news about Najib, reportedly telling the portal that she and Najib’s son generally avoided politics due to the sensitive nature of the topic.
Apple Daily said Nazifuddin returned this morning to Malaysia, also claiming that the former Umno president’s son was first introduced by friends in Taiwan three years ago to the actress.
The newspaper claimed that the actress previously did not know of Nazifuddin’s status and background and had only started close communications with him recently after she became single again.
Celia Chang was born on February 25, 1984 in Taiwan as Hsin-Yun Chang. She is an actress, known for Thirty Something (2015), Love Actually… Sucks! (2011) and The Map of DNA (2016).
In a separate report by Apple Daily, the actress is aged 34 and is a former model of Chinese-Vietnamese parentage who is now an actress and has been in the entertainment industry for four years.

Nazif Najib Seen Hugging , Massage , Shopping , Candlelight Dinner & Visit Grand Hyatt Hotel With A Taiwan Actress – Just After His Father Najib Was Arrested And Charged For Corruption!
The son of former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was arrested and charged earlier this week, was spotted wining and dining in Taipei with a Taiwanese actress, the Apple Daily reported Friday. Najib, who unexpectedly lost general elections earlier this year, was arrested on July 3 and charged with breach of trust and abuse of power before being released on bail.
One of his sons, Mohd Nazifuddin Najib, also known as Nazif Najib, was seen dining at a steakhouse and having a massage in Taipei’s top luxury shopping district near Taipei 101 Thursday, according to the Apple Daily. The newspaper identified the woman in Nazif’s company as a Taiwanese actress in a current Sanlih E-Television soap opera, Celia Chang (張東晴), 34.
They spent more than three hours at the steak restaurant inside the Breeze Xinyi shopping mall eating and drinking one glass of red wine after the other, while Chang seemed to be explaining the Taipei scenery outside the window, the Apple Daily reported.
The newspaper wrote that they took a taxi to a massage parlor, had a candlelight dinner, spent two hours at a pub and took another cab to the Grand Hyatt Taipei at 1 a.m. Nazif reportedly flew back to Malaysia later Friday, while Chang’s spokesman said the Malaysian ex-premier’s son was a friend of hers, and she had acted as his guide during his short trip to Taipei.
