9. The Same Person Who Bring Up and Bring Down Multiple Prime Minister And Deputy Prime Minister
Mahathir’s comeback is full of interesting plot twists. Najib’s rise to power in 2009 owes much to the elder statesman, who orchestrated a campaign to push out Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, his successor in the long-ruling coalition anchored by the United Malays National Organisation, the country’s biggest party. Then, angered by Najib’s economic policies and the 1MDB scandal, Mahathir bolted from Najib’s party in 2016 and joined forces with the opposition.
That defection required a tenuous rapprochement between Mahathir and Anwar, who had served as his deputy in the late 1990s during the Asian financial crisis. After Mahathir fired Anwar in 1998, Anwar spent the next six years in prison on convictions for abuse of power and sodomy.
Dia naikkan Badawi , dia juga mampu turunkan Badawi.
Dia naikkan Najib, dia juga mampu turunkan Najib.
Dia jatuhkan Anwar, dia juga mampu naikkan Anwar.
Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Tun Musa Hitam, Tun Ghafar Baba and Anwar Ibrahim are all former Deputy Minister that Tun Mahathir to destroy their political career as Malaysia Deputy Prime Minister.

11. The Only Politician Who Can Break UMNO Felda Vote Bank In Malaysia Political History
Felda activist Mazlan Aliman has hailed voters in Felda settlement areas for giving Pakatan Harapan victories in 19 parliamentary seats in yesterday’s general election.
At the general elections on Wednesday, PH won the parliamentary seats of Kubang Pasu, Kulim Bandar Baharu (Kedah), Sungai Siput, Tanjung Malim (Perak), Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor (Selangor), Kuala Pilah and Tampin (Negeri Sembilan).
The coalition also captured the seats of Alor Gajah (Melaka), Pagoh, Sekijang, Labis, Segamat, Simpang Renggam, Kulai, Tebrau (Johor), Bentong, Raub and Temerloh (Pahang).
PAS also won the Kemaman, Dungun, Setiu and Kuala Nerus seats situated near Felda areas.
For decades, Felda areas had been regarded as BN strongholds. Some Umno leaders, including former federal minister Nazri Aziz, had dismissed PH’s ability to win 20 seats in Felda areas.
He said Felda was “Umno’s brainchild” and said any effort to make the settlers abandon the party was bound to end in frustration.
12. The Only Person Who Can Promote His 2 of His Previous Opponent As Prime Minister
Early during Mahathir’s tenure as prime minister, a bitter dispute erupted within the ruling UMNO party and it was divided into two camps, which were colloquially known as ‘Team A’, comprising Mahathir loyalists, and ‘Team B’, which supported former Minister of Finance Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and former Deputy Prime Minister Musa Hitam. Mahathir prevailed, leading to the exclusion of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah from the newly established UMNO (Baru) or New UMNO. Abdullah was a close supporter of his political mentor Musa Hitam in Team B and as a result, he was sacked from his post of Minister of Defence in the Cabinet. Later on he appointed Tun Badawi as Malaysia 4th Prime Minister.
Anwar served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1993 to 1998 and Finance Minister from 1991 to 1998 when he was a member of UMNO, the major party in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition. However, he was removed from his post by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and jailed in April 1999. Today he will be promoting and hand over to Anwar Ibrahim as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia !
The only person in history that is being able to pick 3 Prime Minister of Malaysia as his successor ( Badawi , Najib and Anwar ) !
13. Being The Prime Minister With 3 Different Political Party
UMNO LAMA , UMNO BARU and BERSATU
Immediately after the controversial 1987 UMNO election, Razaleighs supporters discovered that ineligible delegates took part in the UMNO general assembly. So, a group of UMNO members known as the UMNO 11 filed a case seeking a court declaration that the 1987 UMNO conference was null and void.
When the court was satisfied that ineligible delegates had participated in the UMNO general assembly, the judge had no choice but to declare UMNO an unlawful society – which resulted in UMNO, the party dominating the BN coalition, being deregistered under the Societies Act. The judge arrived at this decision because UMNO had clearly contravened its constitution.
The lawyer representing the UMNO 11 responded that his clients only wanted the elections to be declared null and void without declaring UMNO an illegal society.
Immediately, the UMNO lawyer stood up and submitted that his clients had no objection to the judges findings. In fact, he was indeed pushing for UMNO to be declared an illegal society earlier on obviously he must have been instructed by the UMNO leadership to push for the deregistration of UMNO.
Thus, UMNO, the political party of the vast majority of Malays, met with its sudden demise.
Immediately, Mahathir, the man without a party, resigned the chairmanship of the BN. But he held on to the post of PM. This was the first time in our history when an ordinary MP without a party, held the post of PM.
Within days, the constitution for a new party, namely UMNO Baru (New UMNO) was submitted to the Registrar of Societies. It was a Saturday and on Monday the new party was registered. It was a miraculously efficient performance by a civil servant in Malaysia deserving to go down in the Malaysian Book of Records as the fastest registration of a political party!
14. Founded 2 Political Party And Wins ! ( UMNO BARU and BERSATU )
“UMNO ditubuhkan pada tahun 1946 kemudian dibubarkan pada 1987 dan selepas itu hidup semula satu parti baharu dinamakan ‘UMNO Baru’. Pada saya, parti UMNO Baru itu adalah parti ciptaan Dr Mahathir dan sekarang Dr Mahathir cipta lagi satu parti iaitu parti Bersatu.” – Timbalan Pengerusi Majlis Profesor Negara (MPN), Prof Ulung Datuk Dr Shamsul Amri Baharuddin
15. KLCC Is The World Tallest Building In 1998
When Dr Mahathir was premier, he built two 88-storey towers, making them the world’s tallest buildings when they were ready in 1998.
Lesson No 1. Age
Age is just a number. Successful people do not worry about their age. It doesn’t define who they are, their ability to think and act. When you are passionate about something you can find all the energy and brain to pursue your purpose untill your last breath.
Lesson No 2. Master of Your Own Destiny
Almost every other day, there is someone talking about Tun Mahathir’s age, his ability to think and decide, and the mistakes he made in the past. But nothing hinders him or slows him down. He knows exactly what he wants and ignores all the perception that won’t help him in achieving his goals. He teaches us, “be the master of your own destiny”, don’t let others decide your destiny.
Lesson No 3. Warrior Minded
Warrior is someone who is ready to die in order to win. So, going not only the extra miles, but whatever distance it takes. You don’t stop. You don’t give excuses. You don’t run away from challenges. You take the bull by its’ horn. Indeed, we see in our own eyes how Tun M faces people, his arch critics and his preparedness to face anyone anytime. A true leader is a true warrior in every aspect.
Lesson No 4. Leader is Reader.
A reader is not necessarily a leader but a leader is certainly an ardent reader. Why even at age 93, he speaks so eloquently and impactfully? It’s because he reads a lot to keep himself abreast with all the necessary knowledge and information. Knowledge is power.
Lesson No 5. Power to Persuade
As leader your ability to persuade is extremely important. Just look at Tun M as how successfully he has brought people together who once not only critisized him but also abhorred him. They all have accepted him as their leader. The fact is a leader knows how to rise above the rest despite the differences because he has mastered the art of persuasion.
Lesson No 6. One Vision One Goal
Strong decision followed by uncompromised action.. Tun M wants to bring down the current Prime Minister. It is evident, Tun M has made his team so focused and has managed to gain public attention to what he says and does. His message is precise, clear and people centric, making his goal as the goal of the nation.
Lesson No 7. Managing Emotions
This is arguably the most important quality a leader needs. “It is not the event that decides the outcome; it is how you respond to the event that decides the outcome” is the quote that I find becomes alive every time Tun M is put to test. We have witnessed him being in the centre of many challenging situations, some of which are very critical of him in nature. Despite all odds, he has shown his amazing skills and ability, managing his own emotions thereby controlling every situations so well. Not only that, he walks out as winner in such situations.
At 93 years old this man has so much yet to offer the country!
