Parisians are now on high alert mode after the deadly terror attack that happened in Champs-Elysees, the world’s most prestigious boulevard in France.
During the terror attack, one officer was killed and two others were severely injured after the confrontation with the ISIS gunman. The incident has been known as an ISIS terrorist attack by the president of the country.
According to the news reported by NBC News, the armed terrorist who claimed himself as one of the ISIS member was fatally executed while he was trying to flee after shooting in the famed boulevard.
“We are greatly determined to fight terrorism here and every place where our forces are engaged,” – French President Francois Hollande, NBC News.

Initial investigations show that the suspect has been identified after ISIS announced that the gunman was credited for the carnage and he was known as “one of the Islamic State fighters.” Besides that, the gunman who was believed to have come from Belgium was found living in the suburb of Chelles in Paris. The officers are trying to look for his house and possible accomplices.
According to the eyewitness, the terror attack happened near the Franklin Roosevelt Metro station around 9 p.m. local time. The terrorist was fatally shot by the officer. There was a female passenger, a tourist and an officer that sustained injuries during the open fire.
The gunman was witnessed driving an Audi to the scene and jumped out to shoot the officers. The suspected vehicle was then taken in by France’s anti-terrorism team to search for possible firearms in order to keep the people and officers safe.

The gunman turns out to be a French who was aged 39 years-old. The gunman was named Karim Cheurfi who was living in the town of Chelles, Paris. It was discovered that Cheurfi had a list of violent crime history. In 2001, the gunman was convicted after shooting two policemen.
