A solemn mood clouds over Malaysia as thousands of eggs were sacrificed on a highway after a car rammed into the rear of a lorry transporting the delicate goods on April 2. In case you didn’t get it, ‘liquid chicken’ is a reference to eggs as they are chickens but still not in a solid state, therefore – liquid chicken!

According to The Star, the incident reportedly occurred on the North-South Expressway near Kuala Muda, Kedah.

The white car was going from the right lane to the left lane and looked like it was about to crash directly into the back of the lorry before the driver made a last-ditch attempt to avoid the lorry by steering right.

Unfortunately, he rammed into the right rear of the lorry, causing it to lose control and eventually hit the road divider.

Asst Comm Noorzainy added both drivers escaped unharmed,

“The vehicles were heading north when the incident happened. Both drivers were sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani for treatment.”

He also said that police will be investigating further to find out the cause of it.

Several netizens who saw the viral video has since urged road users to honk if they ever suspect that another driver on the road could be dozing off as it can potentially save lives.

This also serves as a reminder for us to invest in a dashboard camera for your safety. We would like to express our deepest condolences to all the eggs, may their soul rest in peace, we hope road users will take this as a lesson and to stay alert on the road!

Advice to “Honk at other driver”? Obviously the adviser has not driven long enough on Malaysian roads.. there have been massive cases of road-bullying and road rages that started by a simple “honk at other driver” .. if there is one thing our Jackyll-and-Hyde Malaysian drivers cannot stand, it is honk by other driver.. there was even a case of a motorcyclist who stopped a car who he mistakenly thought was honking at him. That motorcyclist grabbed a tree branch to hit that driver and lo and behold – that car driver was a lawyer licensed to carry a gun! He was shot and died. Because of a “honk at other driver”… Remember, don’t simply honk at others. Not on Malaysian road. Consider yourself forewarned!
