With the general election just around the corner, all political parties are going all out with their tactics in winning votes.
Earlier today, it has come to the attention of Wendy Lean, a Facebook user, that a photo of herself and her friend has been posted on The Star alleging that they’re supporting a political group.
Wendy took to Facebook to clarify that the photo is a stock image she took 5 years ago. It has been purchased by the third party from a stock company.
While we are all unsure who provided the picture (BN or The Star) but Wendy would like to confirm that she did not take a picture with the BN logo to encourage people to vote for them. The picture was photoshopped by graphic designers.
We understand that you’re trying to spread your name far and wide, and you’re trying to show your best sides to attract supporters, but this is not the way. Yes, you can buy stock images as you please but when it concerns political parties, you shouldn’t randomly take any picture that is to your liking!
