When there is no more available parking space left, Malaysians usually resort to double-parking. While the more responsible ones would leave their contact number on the dashboard for people to call them to move their car, there are those who just double-park without leaving a phone number.
A video clip of a pickup truck ramming a doubled-parked sedan is now going viral on social media. The incident reportedly happened last Saturday, August 5, along Jalan Dato Poo Yew Choy in Bentong, Pahang.
According to media reports, the driver of the Toyota Hilux had emerged from a nearby bar and entered his vehicle at about 11.37 pm. The Hilux driver then honked a few times.
Moments later, he reversed into the Honda which was believed to be driven by Wong Thim Cheong, the former aide to MCA president Liow Tiong Lai.
According to Malaysiakini, Wong can be seen running out from a nearby coffee shop to plead the Hilux driver to stop. The driver, however, ignored the man and rammed into the car five more times.
Police report lodged by Wong revealed that he parked behind the 4WD because there were no available parking bays nearby.
He also claimed that he had left a name card on the dashboard while accusing the 4WD driver of threatening to harm him physically.
Meanwhile, the pickup truck owner said in his police report that he had honked for half an hour, conflicting with witness accounts revealing that the honk was not sounded for that long.

In addition, a witness, also a friend of the truck driver told Sin Chew that his friend rammed into the Honda because he was agitated and growing impatient.
Just because you have a big vehicle doesn’t give you the privilege to ram into people’s car! We hope the authorities would be able to sort this out quickly. Also, the restaurant opening tables on the car park bays are also at fault, you guys shouldn’t be taking up the lots when there isn’t enough space!
