Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge for his brilliant performance in The Reds’s victory against Spurs in the last 16 of the EFL Cup.
The England international found the back of the net twice against Tottenham which saw Liverpool sealed a victory against the North London club.
Sturridge was eventually dropped in Liverpool’s previous game against West Brom but came back and made an impact to the team.
“He was brilliant, he could have scored more but was really good.”
“Thats his talent, his strength, a finisher, a really good striker, no doubt about this.” Jurgen Klopp said.
Sturridge was also happy with what he delivered during the match and admits that he is relief to be back in the starting line-up.
“We had a lot of chances. I think we deserved it. When you have a lot of time, sometimes it can be more difficult, but the first one was instinctive.”
“Its a nice feeling, I’m happy with tonight.” Sturridge said.
