Dr Mahathir Mohamad says he “heard” of last night’s meeting between Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali and a group of Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs, although he is in the dark about what was discussed.
“I heard about it. I don’t know what they talked about,”
Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad dismissed that he had any role in the meeting between Umno MPs and Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali on Monday night.
“Maybe I’m a dictator, but I didn’t dictate this time,” he told a press conference in Petaling Jaya today.
Mahathir said he had not spoken to Azmin yet and did not know why there was a meeting.
He said he agreed with PKR president Anwar Ibrahim on the matter, adding that those who wish to dispute his position should do so “in the right way”.
“It shouldn’t be through the back door,” he said.
