Student affected by JPA slash speaks out
The government’s decision to slash the allocation for the JPA bursary and scholarships as announced by Datuk Seri Najib Razak not too long ago received a heap load of backlash by netizens who were outraged that the Malaysian government did not prioritise the education of Malaysian youths.
Many third parties have stepped up and had their say against the Malaysian government for the allocation slash that came without warning and ruined the many good opportunities of a large majority of Malaysia’s top students.
We have yet to hear the say of any of the Malaysian students who were affected by the government’s decision- until now.
Facebook user Kelvin, a student who had his dream of studying abroad crumble into pieces when the Malaysian government announced the slash of the allocation for the JPA bursary and scholarships, has taken to Facebook to share his thoughts on the matter.
It goes without saying that the Malaysian government’s decision to slash the budget allocation for the JPA bursary and scholarships is dismaying, and is one that will set back the youths of Malaysia a couple of years.
What do you think of the government’s decision? Is it wrong that they’re not prioritising the education of our youths? What should Kelvin Low and other students who were affected by this decision do in order to continue their pursuit for higher education? Let us know!
