Last Friday, September 21, Malaysia Animal Association took to Facebook to share how an animal rescuer passed away.
57-year-old Abdul Kadir has a soft spot for animals. He works in a car wash shop.
According to the post, he was believed to be riding his own motorcycle to the shoulder of the road hitting the road divider and he died on the spot. The incident happened at Jalan Semariang, DBKU roundabout heading towards Bandar Kuching, Sarawak, on Friday (September 21) at around 8.55 am.
It is learned that the cats in the box that he rescued from the roadside was all safe and still in the box.
Animal Malaysia is sympathetic and sad of the incident and Malaysia once again loses a dedicated cat rescuer.
Animal Malaysia would like to remind rescuers and anyone involved with animals to participate in the Animal Supporter Program provided by Animal Malaysia. The program provides protection where each individual participant will be awarded Annual Personal Accident Insurance covered by AIA amounting to RM50,000 in the event of death or permanent disability due to an accident.
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Abdul Kadir.
