Tun Mahathir Suspects Someone In The Govt Is Helping Jho Low Evade Arrest

Following the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) probe, Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad suspects sabotage within the government is one of the reasons why Malaysia has yet to apprehend fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, more commonly known as Jho Low.

Tun Mahathir told NST when he was asked if information leakage could be one of the sabotages,

“I think he (Jho Low) is hiding somewhere.”

In case you still haven’t caught up yet, Malaysia is currently looking for Jho Low to assist in investigations into the 1MDB scandal.

One instance that led Tun Mahathir to suspect sabotage is during a supposed arrest-mission in Hong Kong. Tun Mahathir told the press at ASEAN Leaders Gathering in Bali, Indonesia on October 11,

“(Tun) Daim (Zainuddin) says somebody is informing him (Jho Low). One time he was in Hong Kong. When we reached Hong Kong, he had flown away already.”

Previously, Tun Daim said that Jho Low had contacted him to request for immunity from the Malaysian government. However, the Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) chairman rejected Low’s request. Tun Daim said,

“He claimed he is innocent, so if you are innocent you come back here. Why you are running away?”

    Do you think Malaysia can send s team to Hong Kong jurisdiction and arrest Jho Low and bring him back? Keep on dreaming. The only country that has a bounty reciprocal with Malaysia is Singapore.
