Following a recent road bully incident near the Queensbay Mall roundabout in Penang, the perpetrator has been remanded.
A video clip of the road rage incident went viral on Facebook.
Balik Pulau OCPD Supt A, Anbalagan said on Tuesday, September 25, that a man was driving with his wife and two children when they heard a honk from behind. That was when the road rage incident took place.
The road bully alighted from his car and began scolding the driver and his wife. He kicked the car’s side mirror and a quarrel ensued.
The man reportedly grabbed two mobile phones belonging to the woman and he allegedly also pulled the woman’s hair and some of her fingers were swollen after the attack.
The fight was broken up by passers-by.
The suspect was picked up in Teluk Kumbar at 12.15 pm on Tuesday. Magistrate Nur Azzuin Abdul Moati allowed a three-day remand order until tomorrow (September 28) for police to detain the 30-year-old factory worker.
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing damage and Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

Apparently, the man, clad in an orange lockup uniform, smiled as he left the courthouse.
Good of the authorities for acting quickly, now this man needs to get his attitude reformed. You think road bullying is a joke? Wait until karma bites you in the butt!
