A 24-year-old woman is suffering a 5cm-long scar on her face after being attacked by her ex-boyfriend on 7 February.
Harian Metro reported that the woman was cut from the top of her lips to her right cheek by her ex-boyfriend.
The incident happened at a shopping mall located in Damansara Jaya.

According to China Press, the suspect appeared at the shopping mall in attempt to convince her to stay with him.
Following rejection by the victim, the man went on to attack her with a sharp object.
The man has since been detained by the police
Harian Metro reported Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din as saying that the suspect will be remanded until 15 February.
The man, a Bangladeshi national, is currently being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
Meanwhile, the victim was released a day after receiving treatment at the University of Malaya Medical Centre.
According to Harian Metro and China Press, the 24-year-old victim was slashed by a sharp tool from her upper lip to her right cheek. The ex-boyfriend was later identified as a Bangladeshi man.
“The victim is in stable condition after receiving treatment at PPUM and she was discharged a day after the incident. Based on the information provided, the police have captured the suspect who in his 20s last Friday (8 February).
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is the victim’s ex-boyfriend and the authorities are in the midst of finding out why the man had acted in such a way,” Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said.
