We understand the companionship some people need with their pets and they would want to bring their furry babies outside frequently, but there are just some places you shouldn’t bring them to for many logical reasons!
Recently a post on the Facebook page, Pahang Darul Makmur went viral over a photo of a little doggy sitting inside a shopping trolley.

According to the post, the photo was taken at a supermarket in Bentong, Pahang on June 4, and it drew the concern of hundreds of Malaysians.
Shortly after the post circulated the internet, the page posted an update on the situation, explaining that the supermarket, with the help of Jabatan Agama Islam Pahang (JAIP), had taken about an hour to clean over 200 trolleys to ensure that everything was sanitary once again.
JAIP also advised all Muslims and non-Muslims alike to be considerate of one another, regardless of the situation they’re in.
Netizens also voiced out their disgust over the pet owner’s disregard for basic hygiene. One of them commented,
“I am a non-Muslim and also own a dog but even I know the dos and don’ts when it comes to situations involving pets – and trust me, bringing my dog to a supermarket or restaurant is a big DON’T.”
Another netizen also pointed out that although pets are house-trained, they might not behave the same way in public places,
“Housepets are house-trained… not supermarket or restaurant trained! When pets are in strange unknown places, they might pee or poo out of fear.”
That is very true, even I would love to bring my cat out of the house, but whenever my cat goes out, I noticed that his behavior changed, he’s more afraid and alert, therefore I don’t. We do not live in a country where it’s pet-friendly everywhere you go, that is for obvious reasons. Not all pet owners in Malaysia are diligent enough to care about their pet’s behavior or if they pee or poo in public.
We should be more considerate and respect each other on religious beliefs, it is also for hygiene purposes!
What do you think?
