Apparently, she even received financial support from one of her boyfriends. Businessman Lim Hong Liang, 54, a married father who owns SNL Logistics employed Audrey in November 2014 as an ‘admin executive’ and received a monthly salary of SGD2,000 (RM6,000) along with Central Provident Fund contributions of about SGD900 (RM2,600).

However, she is known as a ‘ghost employee’ as she doesn’t report to work.

Audrey told the court on Tuesday, May 15, that she lived rent-free in an apartment at The Parc Condominium in West Coast Walk, with a maid and a dog. She claimed that she was aware that the apartment was under the name of Lim and his ex-girlfriend but still agreed to move in with Lim in January 2016 because the decor of the place was Hello Kitty-themed; her favorite character.

From the end of 2014 to May 2017, Lim gave Audrey:

► Branded watches

► Designer bags from luxury brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, and Bottega Veneta

► A Mercedes Benz with a number plate that displayed her ‘1991’ birth year

► Cash and credit cards

While Lim was overseas, Audrey’s other boyfriend, Joshua Koh Kian Yong, 32, went to the flat to see her on April 2016. Later that evening, she told the court that she heard a gate opening and two men, Lim’s son and nephew ‘Ron’ appeared at the entrance of her bedroom.

According to her recollection, Ron started to kick and punch Joshua while Lim’s son, who did not take part in the assault, sat in the living room and played with her dog.

Joshua was then taken to a hospital where he called the police who arrived later that evening.

After the assault, Audrey told the court that she received a few voice messages in Mandarin from Lim. The audios were played in court on Tuesday, May 15, and in one of them, a man can be heard saying:

“What you did was right or wrong? You brought a man to sleep while I was overseas. I provided you with everything… Do some reflection.”

In addition to that, Joshua was again attacked, three weeks after the initial assault by a hitman who slashed his face with a penknife, causing permanent disfiguration, in Townshend Road near Little India at around 1 am on April 30, 2016.
