UMNO Is Now The Battleground Between Mahathir And Anwar : Nazri Claimed Anwar Told Him That With PKR, DAP & Gabungan Parti Sarawak Would Have 110 Seats

Umno is now the battleground between Mahathir and Anwar. And it looks like Mahathir is winning. If Mahathir ‘outvotes’ Anwar by getting the highest number of Umno defectors, then Anwar’s plan to oust Mahathir and take over as Prime Minister in early 2019 is going to fail and will have to be abandoned.

Anwar Ibrahim said former Umno Sabah leaders had offered to cross over to PKR but he refused to accept them for the sake of Pakatan Harapan’s ‘reform agenda’. Furthermore, said Anwar, PKR has a sufficient majority in Parliament.

“I told them it would be difficult at this juncture for PKR to accept them because the general mood of the public is to support PH and our reform agenda. We want to defend the integrity and the principles of our struggle so that it will not disrupt the reform and changes that we want to achieve,” Anwar said.

That is the biggest poppycock since Hitler told Britain 80 years ago that Germany has no intention of invading Poland. ‘Reform agenda’, ‘integrity and principles of our struggle’ — these are Anwar’s favourite phrases which he has milked for 20 years since 1998. Anwar will never allow any words to leave his mouth unless they include ‘reform agenda’ and ‘integrity and principles of our struggle’.

Anwar is telling Mahathir if PPBM accepts the Umno Sabah leaders then the old man has no principles
Anwar is no different from a snake-oil salesman at a bus terminal. They will claim their snake-oil cures every known disease and can also increase your sexual prowess so that you can go ten rounds till dawn and still be strong for another round after breakfast. Anwar’s hypocrisy is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

None of the Umno Sabah leaders asked to join PKR. In fact, they would not join PKR even if Anwar dropped his pants and bent over. There is no intention for any Umno Sabah leader to join PKR so Anwar must be hallucinating. They also know Anwar has a very slim chance of being PM8 so why waste their time with Anwar?

Anwar is trying to pre-empt the possibility that these former Umno people may join PPBM. If that happens, PKR will no longer control the highest number of seats in parliament. Anwar just wants to ‘shame’ Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad by saying PKR has rejected these ‘rubbish’ so if Mahathir accepts them then PPBM is a rubbish bin.

None of the Umno Sabah leaders asked to join PKR

The fact is, Umno is split into two: those who support Mahathir and those who support Anwar. Those who support Mahathir are leaving Umno while those who support Anwar will stay. But it appears like ‘Team Mahathir’ is bigger than ‘Team Anwar’.

That is what this is all about and also why Anwar said he rejects the former Umno Sabah leaders — giving an impression the former Umno Sabah leaders had asked to join PKR when in actual fact they never have any intention to do so. That is vintage Anwar Ibrahim — main wayang.

PKR rejected crossover offers from Sabah Umno leaders, says Anwar

(FMT) – PKR said today former leaders of Sabah Umno had offered to cross over to the party but PKR decided not to take them in for the sake of Pakatan Harapan’s reform agenda.

Party president Anwar Ibrahim said PKR also had sufficient majority in Parliament.

“I told them it would be difficult at this juncture for PKR to accept them because the general mood of the public is to support PH and our reform agenda.

“We want to defend the integrity and the principles of our struggle so that it will not disrupt the reform and changes that we want to achieve,” he said.

Anwar was speaking after launching PKR vice-president Tian Chua’s new book titled “Lakaran Jiwa Merdeka: Catatan dari Penjara Kajang” in Universiti Malaya.

Commenting on the exodus of 36 elected representatives, senators and division heads in Sabah from Umno, Anwar declined to name those who had approached PKR.

He said it would not be proper for him to name the leaders, especially since PKR had not accepted them and had no intention to pursue the matter further.

Although the four MPs and nine state assemblymen who left Umno said they were now independents, speculation is rife that they would join PPBM, which has yet to start its chapter in Sabah.

Fuelling such talk was confirmation by PPBM chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad yesterday that several Sabah Umno leaders had approached him before making their decision to quit Umno.

Anwar said PH coalition partners must remain committed to its agenda if they wanted to successfully reform the government.

He said it was “up to PPBM to consider these views”.

Meanwhile, Anwar also commented on news reports that he had met former tourism minister and Umno’s Padang Rengas MP Mohamed Nazri Aziz.

He said he had met many leaders from the opposite side, including Nazri, in Parliament, pointing out that he was always ready to discuss PH’s reform agenda with anyone.

Commenting on requests to not shame former prime minister Najib Razak, Anwar said the investigations being undertaken were not done to humiliate him but to uphold the rule of law.

He said if there was a basis for the investigating authorities and the attorney-general to prosecute Najib then it was their duty to charge him and he supported the decision to do so.

So now we need to support Mahathir and not allow Anwar to take over. And if all the Umno leaders need to resign and join PPBM then so be it. PPBM must be strengthened since Umno can no longer do the job. And PPBM will be strengthened once it has more seats than DAP and PKR. And for that to happen PPBM has to ‘steal’ the Umno seats, like what is currently happening.

Today it is no longer about Najib or Umno but about Mahathir versus Anwar

So, back in 2014, Najib needed to be defended. But now Najib has fallen so that is all water under the bridge. DAP is already practically running the government. But DAP cannot be allowed to become stronger. And DAP will become stronger if Mahathir is ousted and Anwar Ibrahim takes over as Prime Minister.

Anwar Ibrahim : PKR Too Had Been Approached By “Quite A Number” of UMNO Leaders – Pre-Emptive To Say UMNO Defectors Joining PPBM

Nazri Leading UMNO Faction For A Unity Government With PKR & DAP : Nazri Has Been Travelling Nationwide To Ask Division Chief To Support Anwar & Bypass Dr M

An Umno faction is allegedly paving the way for a “unity government” with ruling parties PKR and DAP.

And the man in the driver’s seat is said to be Barisan Nasional secretary-general Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.

This follows the exodus of most of Sabah Umno’s leaders on Wednesday (Dec 12).

Then came the allegation that the defectors are set to join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) – a component of the ruling Pakatan Harapan government.

According to a report by The Malaysian Insight, Umno sources revealed that Nazri has been travelling all over Malaysia to hawk the plan to division chiefs.

As the biggest Opposition party, Umno still has 43 seats in parliament, though its numbers are dwindling steadily.

Another Malaysiakini report stated that Nazri has turned to PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister-in-waiting, to ensure the survival of his party.

Nazri claimed that efforts to negotiate with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have not gone well, as the Prime Minister wants Umno to be dissolved before any cooperation can be done. This has led members to worry that Umno might be deregistered.

Nazri, who is also Padang Rengas MP, had detailed his alleged discussion with Anwar during a speech to Selangor Umno members on Wednesday night.

“It is nothing new, it is an open secret that most (Umno MPs) want to be part of the government… there is nothing sinister there,” he told Malaysiakini.

Nazri had told the members he met Anwar in the second week of the last Parliament sitting with four requests, which Anwar had supposedly agreed to.

Top of the list was for Umno to not be dissolved, to which he claimed Anwar had responded as follows: “Nazri, I will not dissolve Umno. We must be sporting in politics. How can we fight if our opponent is de-registered? We must be gentlemen.”

His second request was for Anwar, when he becomes Prime Minister, not to “harass” Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

“I told him (Anwar). Whatever wrong he (Najib) has done, charge him. But don’t harass him… by imposing bail on him so many times.”

Nazri claimed that then Anwar said, “I have gone through this (court charges and imprisonment) for 20 years. I don’t want my enemies to suffer that way, what more my friends.

“Najib was my deputy (when I was Umno Youth chief), and (Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad) Zahid (Hamidi) was once my ‘macai’ (lackey).”

His third request to Anwar was to restore the “ketua kampung” (village chief) system, while the fourth was for Umno MPs to receive the same allocation as government MPs so that Umno can “give to the people”.

In exchange for Anwar fulfilling the four requests, Nazri professed that Umno MPs will throw their support behind Anwar when he becomes prime minister in “one and a half years”.

He stressed, however, that the Umno MPs will only be “government-friendly” and not part of the government administration.

“We don’t want to be in the Cabinet. It would be difficult for us in the next election if we did,” he was quoted by Malaysiakini as saying.

“We want to contest Bersatu (Amanah and Warisan) seats, we want our seats back, so we must fight them. So we can’t be ministers with them.

“We would only be a bloc that supports government policies which benefit the people,” he said.

Nazri also claimed Anwar told him that with PKR, DAP and Gabungan Parti Sarawak, the latter would have 110 seats in Parliament.

“So he told me, ‘I only need two more. If I add you (Nazri), and you find one more guy that’s 112, so I’m the prime minister’.”

Nazri also averred that Anwar was hinting he did not need Amanah, Bersatu, or Warisan to form the government.

He said Anwar had supposedly told him he will abide by Pakatan Harapan’s agreement for him to succeed Dr Mahathir only after two years.

According to Nazri, the conditions set by Dr Mahathir (for cooperation with Umno) were too stiff, hence it was only natural for him to approach Anwar as the future prime minister.

“So what we have to do now, is just to sit and wait (for Anwar to become PM),” he added.
