Aguero has become Manchester City’s hero once again in the club’s 4-0 win against West Brom. The Argentine has now came back from the shadow after not getting his name on the score sheet in 6 games.
Pep Guardiola has heap praise on the 28 year old for his brilliant performance against The Baggies last weekend.
Manchester City’s 6 games without a win is Guardiola’s worst ever run in his managerial career in which Aguero fails to find the back of the net in any of those games.
Aguero was dropped from the important match against Barcelona and has hinted speculations regarding the Argentine’s future. However, Guardiola explained the reason Aguero was dropped is because of tactical reasons.
“I said to him, thank you.”
“We need him, we cannot achieve our target, it is impossible.” Guardiola said.
The Spaniard even compared him to Lionel Messi who is regarded as the best player in the world.
“In the box he is at that level. To convince him, he has to believe how good he is and how we need him. He has to try.”
“It is not how many he scores because we are happy with the scoring. I am talking about he has to feel how important he is for us. When he is happy, the team is happy.”
“When he is good everything can happen in the team.” Guardiola added.
