Abdul Hameed also claimed that the money was smuggled by a veteran politician around 1982 to 1995. He said in a press conference,
“I have information that RM500 and RM1,000 notes are still in Taiwan. We have the serial number list of the RM83 billion in cash. At that time, Tun M served in the Ministry of Finance, there were three other individuals who knew of this. “The money was printed in London and sent to Taiwan and was held by the CKS Foundation in stages between 1982 and 1995. The money is still there.”
Through documents disclosed to the media, a total of 35,980,800 pieces of RM500 notes and 65,417,100 pieces of RM1,000 notes are still held in Taiwan.
“In the past, if we reveal Tun Dr. Mahathir’s sins, we would be detained under Internal Security Act (ISA).”
Abdul Hameed also claimed that the information shared to the media in the past about the matter only included 10% of the information he had.
“This is just 10%, there are more than 90% of Mahathir’s ‘sins’ that I will soon reveal, especially the Memali issue.”
The media conference was attended by several media representatives from several news portals and newspapers at the office of the President of the Association of Social Concerns (PMSP), Rajesh Rao, in August 2017.
Now that Tun Dr. Mahathir is our newly elected Prime Minister, we do hope he learn from past mistakes, we’re all humans and we do mistake every single day, it only makes us stronger once we learn from it and never to repeat it. We believe in Tun M, may you lead Malaysia into glory once more!
