Federal territories minister Annuar Musa has alleged that Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and other political figures dined out during the movement control order, an offence under the SOPs.
In a tweet last night, Annuar shared a number of pictures that featured Zahid, as well as PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul, eating together, which the minister claimed were taken during movement restrictions.
However, Annuar did not state when the photos were taken, only that they were apparently captured during a movement control order (MCO) period.
His post comes the same day he was fined RM2,000 for violating SOPs over the weekend.
A statement from his office stated that he was fined for visiting former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his wife, Jeanne Abdullah, at their residence on Saturday, with social visits not allowed in the Klang Valley under the current SOPs.
“He has received a compound from the police and will settle it as soon as possible,” it read.
In February, Annuar paid a RM1,000 fine for dining at the same table with six others during a visit to a community centre project in Cheras. Under the SOPs at the time, only two people were allowed to a table when eating out.
