VIDEO: Man Stands on Car Hood and Yells at Officer for Clamping His Car in No-Parking Zone at Pudu KL

As Shakespeare famously wrote “all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players”, this man in Kuala Lumpur lived up to the saying and took the car bonnet as his ultimate stage. Little did he know that his play was so spectacular to the extent that it gained massive attention on the Internet.

According to China Press, the incident happened in Jalan Pasar, Pudu, in front of RHB Bank on Tuesday (Feb 20). The man was seen standing on top of his car bonnet in protest against his front tyre being clamped by the law enforcement officers on duty.

The man with a cap was yelling at an officer as seen in the 41-second video. The officer tried to calm the man down while his colleague was removing the clamp. The man continued to scream at the top of his lungs throughout the incident, even the footage shot across the street could capture his voice despite the loud traffic from the passing cars.

The parking at the wrong spot wasn’t an honest mistake because as you can see from the picture, there’s clearly a no-parking sign right in front of it. No one would have missed the sign unless he or she didn’t understand it or chose to ignore it.

Netizens were upset by the man’s action. In the post that had gone viral with over a thousand shares at the point of writing, one netizen said: “The further we go, the further human loses manners. It’s obviously labeled no-parking there.”

“Already at fault, yet still had the audacity to step on the car and record the officer. Don’t be stupid, bro. Keep the stupidity within yourself and passed it down to your children in the future,” said another.

We beg to differ. Please don’t pass the stupidity down.

The man uses intimidation to frighten the officer. The officer is not doing his job to allow the man intimidation going above the law. Funny that the enforcement officer can be easily subdue by a person who do not respect the law. Why have signs, remove all signs on the road and let the chaos reign.
